ABS News Network reports that no fewer than 43 Students from the Utsogun Heritage Zone of Auchi Sacred Kingdom have benefitted from the year 2024 edition of Utsogun Forum’s Scholarships on Saturday, the 7th of September.

Notably, this is coming at a time when the cost of living has gone up geometrically -making it difficult for many parents and guardians to continue to afford the education of their children and wards.
The awarding event was done at the residence of Alhaji Muhammed Abubakar along Warrake Road in the presence of parents and community stakeholders in a bid to support educational growth and empower the youth of the community with the hopes that soon the beneficiaries would also become benefactors -carrying on the culture of selflessness.
Speaking to the importance of the yearly exercise aimed at reducing the financial burden of paying tuition on parents, stakeholders of the Utsogun Forum took turns to admonish the children/beneficiaries -inculcating the values of communal living and the need to be studious so that the investment of the benefactors can be rewarded with gainful successes that would manifest in the form of good results for the students.
Daudu of Utsogun Heritage Zone, Alh. Jim Garuba, Alh. Muhammed Abubakar, Chief Umoru Ellamah, Alh. Shaka Ali, Prince Raga Ikharo, Rahmat Umoru, Dr. Nasiru Ikharo, President of the Auchi Development Foundation _ADF, Lucky Marcus Braimah together with other noteable individuals were present at the event.
Their presence underscored the significance of the occasion and the forum’s dedication to supporting the community’s educational advancement.
The initiative, which targets students who have shown academic promise, aims to create opportunities for future leaders from the Utsogun heritage zone by providing the much-needed financial assistance for their education.
The event was celebrated by both students and parents, who expressed gratitude for the forum’s continued support of the youth.
