Under the aegis of Auchi Youths for Progress and Initiative, youths of Auchi extraction have held a voting and handing over exercise to usher in a new administration of the body.
Comrade Aruna Muhammed, a Chieftain of the Group from Iyekhei Heritage Zone who doubled as the Chairman Transition Committee in his opening address stated that although not everyone will be happy with the decision of the house at the end of the day, aggrieved parties must in the interest of the progress of the association pitch tent with the body’s final decision in the interest of AYPI.
The double vice presidential and secretarial nominees as presented by members from the Igbei and Akpekpe Heritage zones respectively went through a consensus exercise with a view to ensuring that one nominee each came through from the affected zones.
At the end, the exercise went smoothly as members of each zone (Igbei and Akpekpe) carried out the task free off rancor.

On the two Presidential nominees presented by members from Utsogun Heritage zone, the duo were given the opportunity to resolve/harmonize between themselves and revert to the house -their decision.
Resultantly, Mallam Munir reported back to the house that he has stepped down for Prince Jelil and that solved the clearance of the Presidential candidate of AYPI as presented by Utsogun.
The transition committee chairman congratulated the house and appreciated the maturity displayed by all -noting that it was in the best interest of the AYPI.
Highpoint of the process of installation of the newly constituted exco of the body was the taking of oath -using the Qur’an as a guide for their conduct and the handing over of staff of office to the new Executives.
A total of 15 Executive members shall be piloting the affairs of the AYPI.
