Following the successful draw exercise carried out by the Iyekhei Sports Committee on Sunday the 12th of May at the Iyekhei Town Hall in Auchi Sacred Kingdom, all is now set for the kick-off of sporting activities billed for the year 2024.
ABS News Network reports that Dr. Bala Muhammed Awwal, the current Chairperson of the ISF Organizing Committee noted that this year’s outing will mark a paradigm shift from the usual to a new height where (aside just football and marathon race), there will be activities (already mapped out) that will accommodate both the aged and young as well as male and female Indigenes and residents of Iyekhei Heritage Zone.

The draw exercise is the first of its kind where the use of technology came to great play as sports stakeholders in Auchi who attended the event noted that truly, given the innovations of the new sports director things would look up for sports in not just Iyekhei but Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State in general.
It is therefore anticipated that ISF 2024, 7th Organized Edition of Sporting activities in Iyekhei would set the pace for a positive flight in the promotion of local sporting events in Edo North.
