EMBRACE LIFELONG LEARNING FOR CAREER SUCCESS AND DEVELOPMENT- Maj Gen Arogundade Charges Graduating Students

The Commandant Nigerian Army School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (NASEME), Major General Oladele Arogundade has on Friday, 2 August 2024 charged graduating students of Officers’ Armament and Instrument Course 26/24 to embrace a culture of continuous learning and personal development, emphasizing that dedication and commitment are key to career progression.

Delivering his graduation speech, Maj Gen Arogundade underscored that the skill and knowledge acquired throughout the students’ stay at NASEME serve as the groundwork for a prosperous professional journey. He emphasized that genuine triumph is contingent upon their unwavering commitment to perpetual learning, adaptability, and evolution in an ever-changing global landscape. Also, he urged them to embrace the concept of lifelong learning, exhibit unwavering dedication to their chosen career, and incessantly seek avenues to hone their skills.


Earlier in his course highlight, the Acting Chief Instructor Weapon Engineering Wing, Major Oladapo Olaleye disclosed that as part of the course objectives, students were exposed to various armaments in the NA inventory, night vision training, computer engineering control and maintenance, as well as artillery fire control system and general principles of engineering. Also, he expressed appreciation to the Commandant for his guidance, support and efforts made to equip the students with the necessary skills and knowledge for their future endeavors.

 

Furthermore, the Commandant also accentuated the significance of professional integrity, ethical conduct, and a steadfast dedication to service, reminding the graduates that their roles as engineers in the Nigerian Army are pivotal to national security. He urged them to adhere to the utmost standards of professionalism, consistently endeavoring to uphold the core values and tenets of the Nigerian Army.

The event was climaxed with the presentation of awards to the best student in order of merit, presentation of certificates and group photograph.
