AMCOS DAY: Mass Comm. Dept. Records New High
Under the aegis of Association of Mass Communication Students AMCOS, final year students of Mass Communication under the supervision of Staff of the department have held their year 2024 AMCOS DAY event in the School of Information Communication Technology of Auchi Polytechnic .
The event which was held on Tuesday the 9th day of July recorded a new high as representatives of the Broadcast and Print options of the department engaged in a quiz competition -an exercise that tested the students’ knowledge of both general and specific issues relating to the field of Mass communication.
High point of the event was the declaration of the winners of the quiz competition -wherein representatives of the Print Option emerged winners.
Anchored by Mr. Anthony Ofunne (the Polytechnic Orator), AMCOS Day 2024 saw the presence of the CEO of Valchi, Cake Boss, AUCHI BLOG and a host of other Alumni of the department.
Representing the HOD, Dr. Paul Umolu, PC of the Department congratulated the winners and noted that there are no losers in such exercises. He encouraged the students to be studious with a view to doing well in their forthcoming final examination.
Mr. Godwin Iwegbue, Mr. Abdulazeez Isah, Mr. Braimah Jafar, Henry Utsalo among other staff of the department were present.
