With a view to ensuring that the erosive tendencies of runoff are curtailed during the year 2024 rains in Auchi, some residents have started preparing their streets as have been shown in the pictures herein.
The Community’s Eye observed residents of Setraco street, off Warrake Road on Thursday spreading laterites on the already eroded aspects of the steepy street amidst anticipation of precipitation in the early hours of the day.
It was gathered that property owners in the area had to contribute at least #2,000 each with which various truckloads of laterites were bought for the road maintenance exercise.

Having recorded 3 rains already in Auchi Sacred Kingdom , It is hoped that the collaborative efforts of these residents will pay off considering the corrosive nature of erosion in the area whenever it rains.
Question is, what is the government at the local level doing to complement the efforts of residents in curtailing the adverse effects of erosion in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government of Edo State?
