Auchi Sons Extend Ramadan Greetings, Call for Unity and Spiritual Reflection

As the Muslim community worldwide embarks on the sacred month of Ramadan 2025 (1446 AH), distinguished personalities from Auchi Sacred Kingdom have joined voices to extend heartfelt messages of goodwill, urging all to embrace the spiritual essence of the holy month. Through the ABS News Network, prominent leaders and stakeholders in Auchi have emphasized the importance of love, forgiveness, and devotion during this period of fasting and reflection.
Chief Dr. Mustapha Muhammed Lecky, the Galadima of Auchi, expressed gratitude to Allah for the gift of life to witness another Ramadan. In his message, he prayed for divine blessings and acceptance of acts of worship (Ibadah) during the holy month.
“As we yet again receive the divine gift of Ramadan, may Allah accept our acts of Ibadah and make this Ramadan the best yet for Auchi Sacred Kingdom—peace, safety, and prosperity. Ramadan Mubarak!” he said.
He called for collective prayers for the progress and well-being of Auchi and its people.
Chief Hon. Dada Abubakar, the Samali of Auchi, also shared his Ramadan message, urging Muslims to seize the opportunity to draw closer to Allah and seek His mercy. He described Ramadan as a month of forgiveness, mercy, and bountiful harvest, calling on the faithful to approach it with gratitude and devotion.
“Ramadan Mubarak to the Muslim Ummah! Let’s use the opportunity of this Month of Fasting to come closer to our Creator—Allah SwT—forgive ourselves, and spread love. It is a Month of Mercy; a Month of Forgiveness; and a Month of Bountiful Harvest. We are extremely lucky to be alive to witness it, therefore let’s be grateful to the Almighty Lord and devote ourselves wholeheartedly to worship during this holy Month as if it’s going to be our last… May Allah SwT accept our fast and grant our requests,” he said.
His message highlighted the transformative power of Ramadan, encouraging Muslims to reflect on their lives and seek spiritual growth.
Chief Engr. Saliu Osifuemeh Ahmed, the Sediq of Auchi, emphasized the importance of self-reflection and rediscovery during Ramadan. He described the holy month as an opportunity to retrace one’s steps back to Allah and seek His guidance.
“Ramadan offers an opportunity for self-search and reflection, an opportunity for rediscovery and retracing to one’s Creator, Allah. In the midst of the sacrifice of the comforts of living for the sole purpose of pleasing Allah, we pray for Allah’s mercies and His guidance. May our little acts of devotion be accepted by Allah and be our refuge here in the world and in the hereafter. May our sincere and silent prayers be heard and answered. Amin,” he said.
His words served as a reminder of the deeper purpose of Ramadan, urging the faithful to prioritize spiritual devotion and seek Allah’s blessings.
As the Muslim community marked the third day of Ramadan, The Community’s Eye, a prominent voice in Auchi, seized the opportunity to call for divine intervention in redirecting the people of Auchi towards the right path. The message also included special prayers for His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh, Ikelebe III, the Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom, who has been dearly missed due to health challenges.
“Our hearts are with His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh, Ikelebe III, Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom, and his family. We pray that our dearly beloved King, who has been dearly missed, shall soon regain good health and provide the requisite sense of direction currently lacking in the community,” the message read.
The Community’s Eye also called for a collective sense of responsibility among Auchi sons and daughters, both at home and in the diaspora, to work together for the progress and development of the community.
The messages from Auchi’s sons underscored the importance of unity, love, and collective responsibility during Ramadan and beyond. As the Muslim faithful engage in fasting, prayer, and acts of charity, these sons urged all to manifest virtues to their daily lives, fostering peace and harmony in Auchi Sacred Kingdom and beyond.
