The community of Afpakpolhoghodo and Utsogun mourns the passing of their revered matriarch, Madam Adam Umoru, the Odion-Ikpotso of Afpakpolhoghodo, who answered the glorious call of nature at not less than 100 years of age. Her departure has left a profound void in the hearts of family, friends, and the entire community.
Iyomhai Adam Umoru, a woman of great wisdom, strength, and devotion, was celebrated for her unwavering commitment to her people and her deep-rooted faith. Her life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and service, earning her the respect and admiration of all who knew her.
Her Janaza, held on Thursday, the 6th March 2025 at 4:00 PM, took place at Inu Umoru Street, Auchi, where family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to pay their final respects. The event was a solemn yet celebratory occasion, reflecting on her century-long journey and the indelible legacy she leaves behind.
In accordance with Islamic rites, prayers were offered for the repose of her soul, seeking Allah’s mercy, forgiveness, and the ultimate reward of Al-Jannatul Firdaus (the highest paradise) for the departed.
Iyomhai Adam Umoru’s life was a beacon of hope and unity, and her contributions to her community will be remembered for generations to come. As she is laid to rest, her family and the entire community take solace in the belief that she has returned to her Creator, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and service.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
