Edo2024: Utsokwili PHC Gets a Boost in Auchi Courtesy Pro Asue Ighodalo Group

A group of supporters under the aegis of Afemai Coalition for Asue Ighodalo have in view of the need for having competent manpower for the provision of health and medical services in Auchi employed a Medical Doctor to man the Utsokwili Primary Health Center.
It should be noted that sequel to this development, the facility lacked a Doctor and this greatly imparted negatively on the mandate and functionality of the facility to act as an avenue for the medical and health service needs of the locals.
The Afemai Coalition for Asue Ighodalo presented Dr. John Ugwu who would now be available at the PHC 5 days weekly to the Otaru-in-Council in the presence of HRH, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh, Ikelebe III, Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom who appreciated the kind gesture and prayed for more positives to reign on the community’s various PHCs so that the people can have their medical needs attended.
Speaking to the reason behind the gesture, Prince Fawaz Muhammad, one of the representatives who presented the Doctor to the OiC stated that it was in the interest of the Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party -Asue Ighodalo to prioritize the needs of the people.
He noted that it is a healthy populace that would have the strength to embark on electioneering exercises as well as carry out their lawful duties daily.
“Our focus is on lending a helping hand to right the wrongs therein our communities and not necessarily bore our people with political promises.
“This is one of the needs that have been spotted and instead of telling people that we are going to provide competent manpower to address the shortage of medical staff in the various Primary Health Centers here, we have done it and shall continue to touch all such areas before the campaigns thicken and even beyond.” He said.
Corroborating the above, Prince Chalaman MKO Momoh added that the people are tired of empty promises -noting that the People’s Democratic Party candidate -Asue Ighodalo has not come to make noise about things that can easily be done.
“You can see that instead of telling our people that he would do this when he becomes Governor, he has already done so -employed a Doctor at the Utsokwili Primary Health Center in Utsokwili -Iyekhei.
“This shows that a man of capacity who has the people at heart does not need to wait to become Governor in order to start doing the job of making life easy for the people he wishes to serve.” He said.
It is hoped that more dire areas would be addressed in the coming days leading to the Edo State Guber polls.
