In view of the commencement of the year 2024 planting season, Hon. Hussein Lecky, member representing the good people of Etsako West Constituency 1in Edo State has doled out no fewer than 35 spraying cans and 105 weeding chemicals to farmers across the 7 wards of his constituency.
ABS News Network reports that the presentation was done at the Lecky Event Center where the farmers were hosted, inspired and gifted the items on Sunday, 28 of April.
Noting that it is farming season, Hon. Hussein told all that he is aware of the struggles of farmers and reassured the people of his continued efforts at ensuring that all his promises are fulfilled.
He encouraged farmers to not be daunted by the harsh economic realities of the country and tasked all to ensure that they continue to carry out their lawful duties bearing in mind that the nation relies on farmers for food.
Hussein encouraged farmers to be security conscious -tasked them to always report any unscrupulous elements around them to security authorities in the community as in doing so, the security challenges currently being experienced will be addressed.
“This is just a tip of the good projects I have in store for my people. Very soon I’ll roll out a physical project and many more of my campaign promises will be fulfilled.” He said.
Speaking to the political season and his expectations from the electorate, Hussein encouraged all to work for the All Progressives Congress (APC) -assuring them that the APC is a party that is geared towards ensuring that the people who are at the core of the developmental policies of the government are always the greatest gainers.
At the presentation were Alh. Jabir -the anchor of the event, Alh. Jim Garuba, Daudu of Utsogun Heritage Zone who doubles as APC’s Etsako West Chieftain, Hon.Aruna, Hon. Alangayo, Hon. Sidi (ward 2 chairman) amongst other APC stakeholders.
Appreciating Hon. Hussein Lecky for the kind gesture, Alh. Shaibu Igwemi (a seasoned farmer) on behalf of he fellow beneficiaries lauded the efforts of the Edo State House of Assembly Member -noting that since his inauguration into the EDHA the people of his constituency have not regretted voting for him because he is a promise keeper who is always bringing home the dividends of democracy.
He prayed for the continuous growth of Hussien Lecky and encouraged his fellow farmers to reciprocate the good representation of Hussein by voting for the candidates of APC in the forthcoming Edo 2024 Governorship election.
