“Keep Our Roads Free” -Council Boss Kicks, Warns Against Road Blockage in Auchi

In a statement released on Saturday the 29th of June by Nurudeen Iyamah, Press Secretary of the Etsako West Local Government Chairman, Hon Zibiri Muhizu Marvelous has earned against the use of Township roads as reception centers for celebrants in Auchi the Headquarters of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

The Chairman in the statement noted that the issue of indiscriminate road blockage has become a major concern in Auchi and its environs -stating that the practice of blocking roads for ceremonial activities has become common, causing traffic congestion and inconvenience to commuters.

Explaining the importance of having and maintaining free and open access to roads, he warned that henceforth, perpetrators would be brought to book considering the negative impact such blockages of township roads could have on commuters, riders and drivers along such transit lines within and around Auchi Sacred Kingdom -promising to put an end to the trend.

Hon. Marvelous urged Indigenes and residents of the community to help Government achieve her drive in ensuring that roads are free from such inconveniencing blockages (going forward) by reporting such scenes to relevant authorities as heavy sanctions, fines would now be administered to deter offenders.
