Marital Bliss: SKMA Hosts Free Marriage Conference in Auchi
Auchi, the headquarters of Etsako West Local Government Area in Edo State, recently played host to the 2025 edition of a free marriage conference organized by the Safiyyah Kassim Marriage Academy (SKMA).
Facilitated by Hajia Safiyyah Kassim, the event took place at the SSANIP Building beside Auchi Polytechnic Staff Secondary School in Campus 2 of Auchi Polytechnic, attracting many attendees eager to learn from the insightful experiences shared by the speakers and the host.

Themed “Blissful Marriage in the Face of Dwindling Economic Fortunes,” the conference featured notable guest speakers such as Coach Agboola Muhammad Abu Sheikh and Mallam Abubakar Al-Hassan, former Acting Rector of Auchi Polytechnic. These speakers delved deeply into the intricacies of marriage, providing valuable advice and sharing their wisdom on how to navigate the challenges of marital life.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Alhaji Muhammed Otono, who served as the chairman of the occasion, and Alhaji Chief Dr. Prince Suleman Momoh, the Takobi of Auchi, among other prominent figures.
The conference highlighted essential measures to foster and sustain successful marriages. While acknowledging that no marriage is perfect, the speakers emphasized that successful marriages are the result of the dedicated efforts by couples who strive to maintain their union for the sake of Allah.
Following the event, many attendees expressed their appreciation for the conference’s relevance and called for more of such initiatives. They noted that since families are built on marriages, it is crucial to inspire both intending and married couples to do the right things to improve society.
In his address, Prince Suleman Imonikhe Momoh urged community stakeholders, business owners, private and public institutions, and the media to support the Safiyyah Kassim Marriage Academy in continuing its marriage counseling projects and programs in Auchi. He emphasized the importance of these initiatives in creating a healthy and sustainable community.
