NECO Pays Courtesy Visit to Otaru-in-Council in Auchi
On Friday, 14th February, a delegation from the National Examination Council (NECO) Edo State Branch, led by Mr. Charles Edemedo, visited the Otaru-in-Council in Auchi, the headquarters of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State. The visit took place shortly after the Jummah service at Auchi Royal Palace, where the council warmly received the guests.
During the visit, the State Coordinator of NECO , Mr. Charles Edemedo, expressed concerns about the declining enrollment of external candidates for NECO examinations in the Edo North axis. He highlighted the importance of the standardized and subsidized examination, which is accessible to all, providing candidates with an exceptional examination experience and certification recognized in six countries, including Saudi Arabia. Mr. Edemedo emphasized that for just ₦4,750, candidates receive all necessary provisions, including feeding and accommodation for the duration of the examination. He appealed to community leaders to help spread the message and encourage parents and guardians to enroll their children and wards for the exams.
The Palace chiefs commended NECO’s achievements but suggested that more sensitization campaigns should be conducted through various media channels to raise awareness. They stressed that increased awareness would ensure that NECO receives the patronage it deserves, allowing enrollees to benefit fully from the certification’s advantages.
