Otaru of Auchi Receives Bishop Dunia
Bishop Dunia of the Catholic Diocese of Auchi has been received by HRH, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh, Ikelebe III, Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom during a courtesy call on the Monarch at the Auchi Royal Palace on Tuesday.
Dunia who was accompanied by other Reverend Fathers from the Immaculate Conception Cathedral of Auchi informed the Otaru about an upcoming Bishop Of Nigeria’s Conference billed for August -to be held in Auchi from the 22nd to 30th of the said month.
He noted that Catholic Bishops from all over Nigeria would be visiting the Auchi Diocese -a situation he described as a great honor not just to the Catholic Diocese of Auchi but more so to the people of Auchi Sacred Kingdom -a community privileged to host such August occasion in his lifetime.
He stated that as a matter of responsibility and respect for the revered Monarch, it was expected that he intimated the King with information about the coming of the event -noting that he (Otaru of Auchi) is the father of the community.
The Bishop seized the opportunity to appreciate the godly workings of His Royal Highness -calling him a beckon of hope, one that has engendered and maintained peaceful coexistence and prosperity in peace for the people and residents of Auchi despite ethno-religious and socio-political differences.
On his part, His Royal Highness, the Otaru of Auchi warmly welcomed the Christian brothers and described them as a key component of the collective prosperity of the community.
He prayed for continued brotherly love amongst people of all faiths in Auchi and encouraged the clergymen to always toe the path of truth in their dealings.
