Tension Drops as Soldiers, Police Restore Sanity to Accident Scene in Auchi
Early in the day, a mammoth crowd had formed around a petrol truck that tumbled off the road just opposite the Auchi Polytechnic Sports Complex gate, Auchi-Okene Expressway, in the aftermath of an accident.
The bucket whose content started leaking out attracted a crowd of passersby who came rushing to fetch the highly inflameable contents with jeri-cans.
Sources who spoke to ABS News Network in anonymity said the situation had become worrisome and so they decided to reach out to security authorities in the area just so that danger would be averted.
At the time of filing this report, men of the Nigerian Army, Police officers together with personnels of the Edo State Security Network had restored sanity to the area by chasing off he rowdy fuel feching crowd -allowing for a proper assessment of the situation and for proper evacuation of the contents.
