Tudi Africa Roles out Free Computer Literacy Programmes in Auchi Sacred Kingdom
With a view to ensuring that in the computer age, no one is left behind, The Umanu Development Initiative otherwise known as Tudi has commenced a computer literacy scheme in Auchi the Headquarters of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
The programme which started on Friday the 12th of April gathered no fewer than 120 candidates from across the various Local Government Areas of Etsako Federal Constituency who converged at Ekhei Girls Grammar School to benefit from the facilitators -a collection of competent Gurus in the IT/ICT world.
Speaking to the intent of the project, Mr. Umanu Ochuwa Elijah , convener of the Tudi Africa project noted that it had become expedient to ensure that every Etsako-born is armed with the requisite skills needed to not just survive in the current times but to moreso, be able to significantly add value to themselves and be useful in the project of amplifying the positive potentials of Etsako at home and in the Diaspora.
The young well traveled and versatile serial entrepreneur told ABS News Network that because the world is currently driven via the instrumentality of ICT, it was important that his people (in Etsako) develop skills in that direction and more so sharpen their previous knowledge of the use of computers and other IT tools.
Currently, the project offers training in Basic Computer Knowledge, Website Design, Coding, Graphic Design, Tech Skills, Video Editing with a promise to delve into more profitable areas of the ICT world as TUDI Africa gains weight.
Beneficiaries have since expressed elation over the magnanimity of the convener in offering them the invaluable knowledge free off charge. In a cross section, various candidates agreed on the fact that the training has come in opportune time -praying that such opportunities continue to dawn on Etsako.
They encouraged well meaning sons and daughters of the area to take a leaf from Mr. Umanu Elijah with a view to ensuring that such programmes accommodate more beneficiaries in the nearest future.
