Dr. Salisu Shehu Umar, Rector of Auchi Polytechnic has once again been decorated with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his Outstanding Leadership Role and Development of his Institution of Higher Learning and Research.
Courtesy of Auchi Dynamic Youths Association (ADYA), the Rector received the award amidst cheers for his sterling performance as Rector of Auchi Polytechnic and more so, as a Friend of the Community -a Traditional Chieftaincy Title Confered on him by HRH, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh, Ikelebe III, Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom .
The Award was presented to Dr. S.S. Umar by the Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom who was ably represented by Prince H.M. Momoh, Daudu 1 of Auchi at the Ikelebe III Town Hall on Saturday in Auchi the Administrative Headquarters of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
His Royal Highness through Prince H.M. appreciated Dr. Umar’s commitment to community development, philanthropy and encouraged him to continue in trajectory of service to humanity -noting that his reward is with God who rewards good with good.
Dr. Umar appreciated the recognition and lauded the leadership of Auchi Dynamic Youths Association for organizing a summit with the intent of raising awareness about the challenges of insecurity -one that seeks to profer actionable solutions to the scourge.
He preached the Gospel of love and genuine concern for issues bothering community development and tasked all to participate actively in the collective project of engineering the greatness of Auchi Sacred Kingdom while pledging his unwavering support for positive projects and programmes to promote the growth of same.
